Multivitamins - A Ticket To Daily Health
Like many others around the world, I am interested in the benefits of healthy living. Modern technology is helping us to live healthy by recently creating helpful health supplements for the young and old alike.
A good multivitamin supplement helps me maintain recommended daily dosages of vitamins and nutrients. I have learned that liquid multivitamins are more effective because the body absorbs liquids five times as well as ordinary pills or capsules. A multivitamin supplement not only helps me maintain normal body functions, but also improves my mental and physical well being. Multivitamin intake should be fine tuned to an individuals health needs or issues. Someone with heart disease should supplement with CoQ10. Vitamins C and E can be helpful preventing Alzheimer's. A pregnant woman will benefit from specific combinations of vitamins and minerals. A combination for someone in my age range will differ from someone in another age range. Multivitamin combinations can be tailored to different age categories for optimal health.
Everyone's body requires 13 essential vitamins to function properly on a daily basis. Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, B12 and the seven B-complex vitamins are necessary. I learned that I will obtain most of these vitamins through eating a healthy diet, but that if I am lacking any of these essential vitamins, I am at risk for illness or even death. Through vitamin supplementation with a multivitamin, I can be sure that I will not miss a crucial vitamin and that I will maintain a healthy balance. I'm not alone, everyone can benefit by taking a daily multivitamin. For example, doctors recommend that pregnant women take a multivitamin during their first trimester to maintain healthy levels of vitamins and minerals. Multivitamins help the developing child in the womb receive proper nutrition and help avoid the risk of malnutrition being passed from the mother to her developing baby. Multivitamins help me and others counter the bad effects of such common problems as old age, alcoholism, smoking and excessive exposure to pollution.
Taking a multivitamin also helps me counter the effects of everyday stress. I don't know if you are like me, but I am always on the go and sometimes I don't eat a healthy diet. A stress formulation multivitamin not only helps me maintain my health, but also helps my mental ability and daily endurance. A good multivitamin also helps me minimize the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Taking a multivitamin everyday gives me a wonderful feeling of overall health. The combined effect of the ingredients found in a multivitamin give this feeling. Antioxidants, like Vitamin E, neutralize harmful agents in my body. Vitamin E gives me healthy skin, good blood circulation, a healthy heart, healthy nerves, helps the red blood cells and my muscles. Vitamin C wards off blood cell infection. It is vital to collagen formation, wound healing, teeth, capillaries and the formation of bone structures. Vitamins A, D and K also help my body operate properly.
I know that taking a multivitamin can lead to better health. It isn't a guarantee against serious illness that might be caused by other factors. A multivitamin will not necessarily cure me if I have symptoms of a serious disease. If I am having a serious problem, I will not hesitate to seek immediate medical assistance. I would not expect a multivitamin to cure a serious problem.

About Vitamins
Have you ever stood in the vitamin and supplement aisle at your drug store and wondered just which of these should I be taking? I know I have. From the time I was a child, I was told by my mother and heard on television that all I ever needed to be healthy was three square meals a day. In today's fast-paced world, I can barely manage to eat a healthy dinner. It is too easy to "drive-thru" at a fast food restaurant. We certainly know that french fries and ketchup aren't really healthy vegetables. We need a balanced diet rich in calcium, protein, fats, carbohydrates and fiber. Vitamins and supplements can help us fill in the dietary "gaps" that we miss over the course of a fast-paced day.
Nutrition Vitamins
In today's world, there really is no excuse for not eating right and living a healthy life. With the health and nutritional knowledge available today, we know which foods are good for us and which are not. We know what we need to do to live longer and healthier lives. Can you believe that in some African nations, the average person only lives until their mid-30s? We don't live in an impoverished, war-torn nation. We know what we need to do in terms of health, exercise and nutrition to lead a longer, healthier life. We know we need to cut out the fast food, soft drinks, smoking and excessive drinking. Don't be a junk food junkie. Eat right, eat healthy and live longer. Eat low fat foods, drink plenty of water and add a daily vitamin supplement.
